The Coon Rapids Post 334 season came to an end during the finals of the Sub-State Zone 9 Tournament at Wintercrest Park. Post 334 dropped a tough one to Ham Lake 3-1 in a great pitchers duel. Nick Herold pitched amazing getting through 7 strong innings only giving up one run. The 1-1 tie was broken in the 8th by Ham Lake broke the tie by scoring two runs to win the game 3-1.

Post 334 had to come from behind to beat Champlin in the Losers' Bracket finals by a score of 7-3. It was a sloppy game that featured 6 errors bht the 334 pitching staff battled hard with Ayrton Aust picking up a win in relief of Bryce Peterson. Kirby Pieri and Avery Lehman both had 2 RBIs and a double in the game to lead the offense. Alex Bui and Jackson Bates both chipped in 2 hits.  The win pits Coon Rapids against Ham Lake again for the right to go to the State Tournament. 

Coon Rapids dropped another tough one to Ham Lake 4-1 in the Finals of the Sub-State Zone 9 Tournament. Ray Wellner through 8 strong innings keeping Post 334 in the game. The offense just could not come up with the clutch hit stranding 9 runners on base. The loss ends the season for Post 334 with a final record of 24-15 for the 2017 Summer. Nick Herold broke the Post 334 ERA record for the Summer posting a 0.68 ERA besting the old record held by Jordan Frogner during the Summer of 2006. Avery Lehman tied the record for most stolen bases in a Summer with 21 tying Devin Croal's record from 2009.
